PRECISION REPORT

Purpose

 

As the AIRS database moves to the Oracle relational database platform, it provides the QA community an opportunity to add necessary QA features to the system. In discussions among the OAQPS Ambient Air QA Team, and the AIRS QA Technical Advisory Group, it appears that we should take the opportunity to develop a QA area. This area would allow for the easy entry and reporting of all types of QA data for the AIRS system and serves to meet the following QA goals:

·   Ensure that the quality of NAMS/SLAM/PAMS database is known and easily understood

·   Provide the tools to evaluate the quality of the data

Relative Percent Difference (RPD)

 

The definition of the RPD is dependant on if the data is a manual or automated check, if the parameter is PM2.5, and, if it is PM2.5, if the collocated sampler is a Federal Reference Method (FRM).
