EDIT LOAD SUMMARY REPORT

Edit Load Summary Report is the primary means of determining the success or failure of a batch load job. The program always generates a summary report unless the job terminates due to a system error, such as incorrect password synchronization. You can tell easily from the summary report whether the batch program executed successfully and get an overview of the results. (Submit Correct Data is also a batch load job)

The edit report lists the number of transactions in several categories and the total number of transactions.

The report body lists the number of transactions processed, with subtotals for each transaction type and edit status.

The first column of the report, with the heading Transaction Type, identifies each type of transaction in the load operation. Only the transaction types actually present are listed, so if there were no site transactions, for example, there would be no report entry for them

The Transaction Type Description column displays the name of the transaction. This provides users with the name of thee transaction so they can find the appropriate data correction form to repair the problems reported.

The Errors column displays the count of each transaction type that was rejected from the load.

The Exclusions column reports the number of transactions "passed over" during the load. This column only has values if the load is from the staging tables using the Submit Correct Data button. At the extreme right side of each correct form is a checkbox that prevents data from being loaded. This Exclusion flag allows users to exclude uncertain or error transactions from load operations until they can be repaired.

The Edits column only applies to raw data that has been successfully placed into the production data tables but has not been reviewed and is therefore accessible only to members of the screening group that owns the data. Zero values should be expected for all other transaction types

The Posts column displays the count of all transactions that have been successfully loaded into the production database and are at production ("P") status. Zero values should be expected for raw data.

The Total column lists the total number of transactions of each type. Similarly, the Totals row at the bottom of the report lists the total number of transactions in each category. The number in the lower right corner of the report is the total number of records in the load operation.

Note: There is a known bug that totals and subtotals do not always add up.
