MONITOR BASIC TAB

The Monitor Basic tab allows you to update all production monitor data belonging to you. To display the Monitor records press the image\exq.gif<Execute Query> key. To display a specific monitor or group of monitors press the image\enq.gif<Enter Query> key and enter your criteria. Pressing the image\exq.gif<Execute Query> key after entering your selection criteria will display the specific Monitor records.

If the Read Only Screening Group is active, ALL monitors in the database at production status will be selected if no selection criteria have been entered. There are thousands of monitors across the nation at production status so this will take some time. It is wise to always enter a State, County, Tribal or Parameter Code before requesting an execute query image\exq.gif.

When a Screening Group is active, only records owned by the Screening Group are selected.

Use the image\prr.gif<Previous Record> (Up arrow) and image\ner.gif<Next Record> (Down arrow) keys to scroll through the records you have queried.

Entering New Monitor Data

To create a new monitor record in the database you need to get out of query mode before entering data in the various fields. This is done one of in three ways:

·      ·   image\caq.gif <Cancel Query> will put you in data input mode.

·      ·   image\inr.gif <Insert Record> will give you a blank form to enter data. This is often used when you already have monitor records selected.

·      ·   The Duplicate Monitor button will make a copy of the monitor currently displayed in the form. You will be prompted to enter a new Parameter or POC. Most of the values of the monitor data visible when you clicked on the Duplicate Monitor button will be copied to the new monitor record.

To maintain the Agency Roles, Sampling Periods, Objectives, Monitor Types, Tangent Roads, Probe Obstructions, Regulation Compliance, Required Collection Frequency, Collocation, or Comments data associated with the selected Monitor record, press the corresponding tab on the top of the window.
